Papermation
In the Spring of 2010 we were granted a FINE Foundation residency at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh. We made the following video with the amazing kids and their parents who came to the Children’s Museum during our residency. We directed and captured the footage and the children created the stories, most of the characters, and taught us a lot.
Kokopelli Music
When we first started doing this stuff in 2007 we were asked to put together a commercial for a local company. Here is that commercial which we did for an iPod repair website:
This video was produced in 2007 by the Schmutz Company. The characters and set were designed by and are animated by Dave. The lighting and filming was done by Don along with post-production. The video was still being used by the client at the time of publication (Nov 18th, 2009).
Circus In My Drawers
This is a show that we did in the summer of 2009 for the cabaret style puppet show – Puppets and Pierogies performed at Modern Formations.
Dave conceived and built the show out of drawers – it is a toy circus in the tradition of Alexander Calder. We were accompanied by SchmutzCoteers Jon on drums and Joss on vocals.
