We’ve moved!
As they say – all things must pass and the time we shared together at the lodge with all of our Schmutz-loving friends and family has come to an end. Yes, the building is still there and there are new folks calling it home but it’s no longer our beloved lodge. Do not fret or weep for her, she’s a fine lady and we expect her new tenants will take good care of her. We’re both off to bigger and better things now and exciting times await!
We’ve hosted parties, Etsy events, art shows, small musical acts, and of course one truly amazing theatrical show at the Lodge over the past few years and she will always remain in our hearts. If you have photos or memories to share please do so on our Facebook page (but please keep it clean, for the kids).
About the Lodge
In the fall of 2009 Dave moved into 5405 Broad St. in Pittsburgh’s Garfield neighborhood. His new house/studio/performance space one block north of Penn Ave between Graham St. and Aiken Ave. The space was wired for sound and had a heart shaped fire pit in the yard. The building had a truly open floor plan with plenty of space for events, a vaulted ceiling and large opening between the second and third floors that created a loft space and the perfect cat-walk for many of the events we held there.
